Overview
I believe each person has a unique life journey, with periods of 'good' times and 'difficult' times.  Therapy helps you work through the 'difficult' experiences.   It helps you clear away inner blocks; this allows you to gain more self-acceptance and self-trust, create more fulfilling relationships, and have greater freedom in your emotional and self-expression.  The therapy I offer addresses the immediate  problems you bring in,  and also explores the root causes of these problems.  Getting to the root causes frees up life energy for vitality, creativity and authenticity.

Relationship with your therapist:
Finding a therapist who understands you, who you can trust and feel safe with, lays the foundation for your therapy. I believe the relationship with your therapist is a major factor in your healing.
-   I provide an honest, respectful, nonjudgmental  space for you to work
on the issues you bring in
-   I bring a calm presence to therapy
-   My style is warm, empathic, interactive and collaborative
-   I trust that a deeper part of you knows what you need.

 Body/Mind approach:
I believe lasting change for individuals happens when the intertwining effects on both body and mind are therapeutically recognized and addressed, especially when working with trauma.  Neuroscience shows
us that we store memories and emotions in our bodies and nervous systems.  I use Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction techniques, and I also use the somatic tools of Somatic Experiencing, Irest Yoga Nidra and Somatic Attachment to gently release blocks held in the body and nervous system which brings about a deeper integrity to your sense of self.
